Rubber gaskets may seem simple, but their performance depends on precision. Dimensional accuracy plays a critical role in how well a gasket seals, how long it lasts, and how reliably it performs over time. Even small variations in size or shape can affect how the gasket fits and functions.

Precision rubber gaskets are designed to compress in a controlled way. When dimensions are exact, they create a tight seal that prevents leaks and supports consistent performance in water distribution and fire protection systems.
How Dimensions Influence Sealing Performance

A gasket must fit perfectly within its intended space to create an effective seal. If it is too thick, too thin, or slightly off in diameter, it may not compress evenly. This uneven compression can lead to weak sealing points and reduced reliability.

In applications such as PVC piping systems (including IPS, C900, and C905) or ductile iron connections using MJ gaskets, dimensional accuracy ensures the gasket sits correctly and maintains uniform pressure. This allows the gasket to perform consistently, even under varying conditions.

  • ISO 14001: Encourages controlled and responsible production practices

These standards help ensure that each gasket meets strict dimensional and performance expectations.
